About Claudine Cassar
Claudine Cassar is a corporate anthropologist, author, and former Deloitte equity partner. She writes about the culture, incentives, governance, and accountability of Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG.
Before entering the Big Four, Claudine founded and grew a technology business while also writing a weekly national newspaper column on politics and current affairs. In 2016, she sold the business to Deloitte and joined the firm as leader of Deloitte Malta’s Consulting practice, gaining first-hand experience of the strategy, culture, operations, and decision-making dynamics inside one of the world’s largest professional services networks.
Claudine is the creator of Big4News, an independent publication covering Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG. She has no ongoing affiliation with any of the Big Four firms.
Her work brings together anthropology, journalism, entrepreneurship, and insider experience. That perspective shapes her analysis of audit quality, regulatory scrutiny, litigation, AI adoption, partnership economics, governance tensions, reputation management, and organisational culture across the Big Four ecosystem.
Her analysis has been quoted in Banking Day and featured by LinkedIn News.
She is also the author of The Battle for Sicily’s Soul, a narrative history of the Sicilian Mafia and those who opposed it, which received a Kirkus Reviews “Get It” verdict.
Her forthcoming book on the Big Four firms is represented by Don Fehr at Trident Media Group. It applies the same rigorous, story-driven anthropological approach to the world’s most influential professional services firms.
Claudine posts regularly on LinkedIn, X, and Instagram, and writes more about her work on her author website.
